Over to Nina's to look at another poorly PC. When I get there, who should be lurking in the garden but Lynne, learning French. I immediately impress her with my fantastic grasp of the language, obviously, and Nina tells me off for talking too quickly. Oh, keep up woman.
The machine is very poorly indeed, taking about 20 minutes just to boot up. It's a virus, I think, and Nina confirms that their - un-updated - copy of AVG did say something about a worm the other day.
So I pack it into the car and boot it up with the AVG rescue discs, setting the AV scan going at about 1230.
It's still going an hour later. And two hours later. And four hours later. It's still going when I go to bed late tonight. Good grief.
I would like to let you know we have just visited your website. Very nice site.
