Saturday, May 10: Homely

I spend all day thinking it's Sunday for some reason, and keep turning on the radio expecting to hear The Archers or whatever, and am surprised when it's something stupid instead like Home WhingersTruths or worse.
So I strim through the brambles on the first terrace, which makes the garden look much bigger. I was planning to finish cutting up the chestnut tree I started felling back before Easter but strimming is so knackering, I don't.
I do dig out some pairs of shorts, but don't actually wear any yet. Only tourists are wearing such things at the moment - I felt guilty walking round the market in a t-shirt when all the real locals were still huddled into their parkas.
I've been speccing up a new Dell laptop for Françoise, my music teacher. She's been quoted 38p for a nice new NEC, of whom I have no experience, so I said I'd see what Dell could offer. OK, €1500 but it's still a pretty good price, albeit with only 256MB of RAM. Doubling that shouldn't cost too much and it looks like Dell want another €500 for the same spec kit. Hmm.
