Sunday, June 1: In the swim at last

Very hot night last night, with Ms Dog getting up several times for a drink and waking the house at the same time.
This morning the air temperature's into the 30s and the water in the pool's hovering promisingly somewhere over 22 degrees. This afternoon, after the Monaco Grand Prix, it gets to about 23 and a half, so I take the plunge, as it were. And it's very pleasant. Half an hour swimming about and it really feels like summer now. Sorry if you're somewhere not quite as warm (not really, I just say that to make you feel better).
Excellent Top Gear again this evening. I heartily recommend it even if you're not a petrolhead - Clarkson may have the political leanings of a half-witted ToryBoy, but he is funny.
