Thursday, June 12: A problem

Jerome, our friendly local estate agent, calls. There's a problem with the land we're buying through him where we plan to build the first of our empire of new homes. It's complicated, he says, not easy to explain over the phone - can we meet up? So we make a rendez-vous for tomorrow in Quissac. The life of a property developer is not an easy one.
