24 Heures du Mans today. Well, starts today. Finishes tomorrow. I have to say, whoever directs the TV coverage of this is doing a rotten job. All the cameras appear to be 500 feet above the track, with only a very little in-car footage. And that from only a couple of cars, too. They should take a look at the way the WRC is filmed. If it weren't for the banal-beyond-boredom commentary from the Channel 4 team (now, this is a rally tyre - note how it has a tread…) it'd be the best program on telly. In fact, I usually watch it with the sound turned down.
Anyway. Le Mans. I keep promising to go up and watch it one year, and one year I will. Never managed to quite get round to it yet, but when I'm richer I will. Promise (promise to myself, not you).

I was there.
Drove up Friday morning, camped on the circuit Fri / Sat spent Sunday night in a friends house nearby, back Monday.
It was hot & humid so the pool was welcome on Sunday.
Not too expensive all things considered ........ major cost was beer & wine !
