So we're going to buy the second piece of land our friendly local estate agent has up for sale. He actually owns it himself, and is developing it in conjunction with the builder we're planning to use to build our houses. The plot we're buying is in a village just south-east of Anduze and is big enough for two houses, each with a garden larger than the first one we were going to build. The land is more expensive than the first plot by quite a lot, but putting two villas on it gives more profit per house than before. Assuming, of course, the bank is happy with this deal. We can't sort them out until the company is officially set up, and that's not going through until next month now. All this is very slow compared to how I'm used to doing business, but I'm over being frustrated by all this now. In fact, I'm a very relaxed old Hector these days.
We meet Jerome in La Baraka in Quissac and sign the necessary bits of paper. This is a very pleasant way to do business, I have to say - sitting in the sun sipping a cool drink while you go over the finer points of the contract.
Beats getting abuse online, that's for sure.
I liked very much your web site.
