Friday, June 20: All done

The builders finish the works today. The fence is up round the terrace, the walls are stippled, the ramp is down and the steps into the garden finished off. The pantry floor and ceiling are done and, all in all, they've done an excellent job.
The ramp removal changes completely the front aspect of the house, although Daisy's less than impressed. She now has to go up and down several flights of steps to get between the garden and the house and several times today she just sits down where the ramp used to end and waits for someone to bring it back. Unfortunately for her no one does, so she has to go the long way round instead.
The pool is fantastic right now - the water temperature is between about 24 and 26 degrees, just right for a half-hour dip in the evenings. Although I'm impressed with Sue and Angus's devotion - two half-hour swims a day is good work, chaps
